Don Williams hosts a weekly
polka radio show at WDDH Studios in Ridgeway,
PA. Don has been broadcasting for many
years and is a very close friend of the DTO.
Don, along with his wife Betty, did the CD
write-up for The Best Of The DTO Volume 4 -
Button Box Magic.
Don Williams and Dick Tady
talking on the air about the brand new release
of The Best Of The DTO Volume 4 - Button Box
Magic.
More "on air" discussion of the
new album while Betty takes phone calls for
requests and dedications from the shows
listening audience.
Don takes the time to show Dick
the brand new all digital control board.
The studio has all of the music on the computer
and only has one CD player and no record players
or commercial cart players. This station
is totally up-to-date with the very latest
technology.
As you can see, Don Williams is
totally relaxed and enjoys bringing the Central
Pennsylvania area the great sounds of polka
music. Don has one of the very few polka
shows in Pennsylvania that broadcasts in FM
Stereo.
Dick Tady and Joe Gill tell the
listening audience a few of the nice memories of
playing 5 decades together. There are so
many good stories that it just isn't possible to
cover them in a 2 hour radio broadcast.
Hey, maybe this will stir the idea for a DTO
book?
Don Williams with his friends,
the Dick Tady Orchestra.
Joe Gill with 'cousin' Vince
Gill. Wonder when he's going to send Joe a
check for some of the songs they co-wrote?
We quickly found the WDDH 97.3FM
Hound Mobile and picked it up and moved it from
it's parking spot.
After taking a quick
measurement, Joe Gill realizes there's no way
that Tony will fit his ass into this car!!!
