DICK TADY
Tenor Sax, Button Box, Midi-Wind Controller, Vocals
Dick,
the leader of the DTO, took his primary instrument,
tenor saxophone, at age 11 and played his first gig at
14. He studied music at Youngstown University's Dana
School of Music and earned a Bachelor of Science from
Duquesne University and his Master's Equivalency at Penn
State and Kent State Universities. Along the way, Dick
mastered the clarinet, piano, flute button box and
banjo. Dick is a retired music teacher of 34 years. He
has achievements to his credit including a Lifetime
Achievement Award from the National Cleveland-Style
Polka Hall of Fame, as well as the Hall of Fame's 2003
Best Recording for his solo recording endeavor
"Richard Allen Michael Tady Presents: The Greatest
Slovenian Polka Hits". |

BOB
McBRIDE
Banjo, Guitar,
Vocals
Bob has enjoyed a close personal friendship with
both Dick and Joe since the three of them played
for class parties in high school. He has been a member
of the DTO since its inception, over 45 years ago, and
with Dick and Joe in the Kenny Kron Orchestra prior to
that. Along with contributing guitar, banjo and vocal
harmonies to the DTO sound, Bob has provided lyrics for
several DTO original compositions, and the English
adaptations of ethnic lyrics, which has become a
trademark of DTO Recordings. Bob has been married to his
wife Judy, since 1964, and they have 3 children and 6
grandchildren. He enjoys the friendship and camaraderie
that the band members share. |

JOE
GILL
Acoustic Drums,
Electronic Drums, Vocals
Joe's musical career began at age 5 when he
studied accordion, until he reached high school and
became interested in and began studying drums. After
schooling, he joined the United States Army for 3 years,
serving in Korea, Vietnam, and the United States with
the 101st Airborne Division. Throughout his 40 plus
years in the professional music business, he has
participated in 13 recordings and is one of the original
members of the DTO, along with Dick and Bob. His lyrics
for the Grammy nominated "Happy Days" recording is one
of his most rewarding musical achievements. Joe is
happily married to his wife Rita and has 2 children and
1 grandchild. |

TONY GRANDOVIC
Accordion, Keyboards
Tony
has been playing accordion and keyboards too long for
most to remember. He has written and recorded many of
his own compositions, as well as compositions that were
written by the other members of the DTO. His hobbies
include computer archiving hard to find Slovenian style
polka and waltz music. he also enjoys recording in his
home studio on his MIDI and digital computer based
recording equipment. Tony is best known by the polka
fans as the "guy with all the jokes". Being of
Slovenian decent, Tony can often be heard singing along
with Dick Tady to the good old Slovenian button box
polkas and waltzes. |

ED GOULD
Bass Guitar, Vocals
Ed began his musical journey in 1970 on the accordion
and soon turned to organ and piano. In his high school
years, he taught himself to play the bass guitar and
learned to sing vocal harmonies while playing in a band
with his father and younger brother. Ed is the newest
member of the DTO after joining the band in September
2002. His hobbies include working on computers,
building websites, designing CD liners for the DTO
recordings and laughing and joking with all the guys in
the band Ed feels that it is a blessing to
be working with such talented musicians and friends. Ed
is married to his best friend Tina and together they
have 2 sons. |
